Modern Chinese Fiction (1919–1949) in Russia: Early Translation, Publication and Research

The article provides an overview of early Russian translations and publication modern Chinese fiction (1919-1949). approaches to the study works prominent representatives literature are examined reasons why Soviet society is interested in their heritage identified. Since 1920s, well-known renowned writers have been frequently translated into mainly by young sinologists. Most them had China developed a direct understanding development literature, translating primarily from using English for various occasionally. cultural activists also played important role spread prose USSR.
